To Building Your Perfect Home

Your home should reflect who you are, how you live and what you care about. It should be yours—and yours alone. We understand this and it's why we leave all the important choices up to you. Here is our seven-step process for ensuring that you absolutely love your new home.

Start Making Your Wish List

The first step in building your dream home is to meet with your Norfolk Homes New Home Sales Agent to discuss exactly what you want and need in your new home. We listen to what matters to you and help you compile a wish list for your dream home.

Select Your Home Plan and Building Site

Once your wish list is complete, and you have found a suitable home site, you're ready to select your home plan.

Determine Your Financing

Next it's time to sit down with your lender to discuss your construction financing. Don't have a lender? We have excellent working relationships with a number of reputable mortgage firms that are experienced with construction loans. Any of these lenders can help you find a mortgage that fits your situation.

Sign a Construction Contract

Now you're ready to build! You'll meet with your New Home Sales Agent to review the complete pricing package. Once this is all in order, you will sign a construction contract to have Norfolk Homes build your home.

Make Final Selections of Features, Colors and Finishes

With your wish list and allowances in hand, now you begin the exciting process of making all interior and exterior selections. You will meet with Norfolk Home's Interior Designer in our Design Studio. This is what makes your home truly custom and one of a kind! The result is a home that's exactly right for you—a home that meets your needs and enhances your life in every way.

Watch Your Home Rise from the Ground Up!

You will meet with our construction team prior to the commencement of construction and several times during construction. Throughout the construction of your home, you will communicate and work closely with your designated Project Manager every step of the way.

Put Your Key in the Front Door

Once your new home is complete, you'll walk through this home with your Project Manager and meet with a Home Warranty Representative to wrap up the details. All that's left to do is to move in, enjoy your new home and live your dream!
